Parking:
Parade visitors are reminded
that Court Street and Main Street get
closed off as the parade winds its way
into town. Parking for the fireworks is
always a challenge. Visitors are strongly
urged to keep their automobiles out of
the interior of the downtown/waterfront
area, as congestion makes leaving the
area at the end of the fireworks very
tough. Please pay attention to all posted
“NO PARKING” signs, as illegally parked
cars WILL BE TOWED. We recommend that
you park further out, and walk into the
celebration area. Residents are also reminded
that at the conclusion of the fireworks,
all main roads leading out of town (Court
Street, Main Street, Route 44, Summer
Street and Sandwich Street) will run both
lanes one-way. There will be no way to
get INTO the downtown/waterfront district
at that time.
Bicyclists are always welcome, but all
bikes must be walked on the waterfront
between Union Street and Bradford Street.
