July 4 Plymouth, Inc., was founded in 1980 after
the town of Plymouth decided it could no
longer afford to fund the Independence Day
celebration. A small group of local citizens
joined together to raise funds for this
annual tradition and July 4 Plymouth, Inc.
was born. July 4 Plymouth is a non-profit,
501 (c) (3) charitable corporation. This
committee has spent over twenty-five years
seeing to it that the parade and fireworks
happen. All of the funds needed for the
days’ activities are raised by private donations.
The theme for the 2008
parade is
HOORAY! for Hollywood East
As you know, Plymouth’s
4th of July parade has become a great
annual event for young and old and my
hope is that you will join us in honoring
America this year.
